Impression: Trees, Mist, Light 1

alight3

Lights shining from the opposite bank of River Tweed, lighting up the fuzzy silhouette of this tree, the river water invisible in late afternoon mist.

    • Never know quite how these shots are going to come out, but that is part of the interest. I wouldn’t alter a set-up, but if the camera makes something strange of what is there, I do like that. Glad you like it too. The evening was rather wonderful, blue and hushed, with the mist hanging over the water of the Tweed, and then the lights coming on beside the river as I set off for home.

  2. Purplish, blue hues in this scene are gorgeous.

    • I did enjoy walking about on that misty day, and then caught these last few photographs as I turned to come home, and the lights by the river came on. The colours have come out bluer than they seemed to my eye, but I like the way the camera interprets sometimes. I did like the way this tree by the river was suddenly illuminated as I stood on the curve of the bridge on the English side looking down towards the water.
