January: River Tweed

January by the TweedSnow, high winds, tempests forecast, a plethora of weather warnings, so as a counterpoint this is a benign view of the Tweed this morning, where gulls and crows were feeding near the flooding on the Tweed Green, a heron was flying and giving out its harsh cry across the water, long dark buds were showing on the trees, and clusters of snowdrops were growing on the riverbank.
