    • I like the shapes that the wings make at different angles, so varied – same with the gulls. There are so many gulls inland at the moment, I think the ploughing attracts them. The crow is always with us. Actually those in the photograph are possibly rooks (crows being OK as a generic term) as they do go in flocks, whereas carrion crows are more singular.

    • That’s really interesting, I have not heard that saying here – but yes, just a day or so after I had taken this photograph, suddenly it turned really cold, and now there is snow on the hills – so, yes, winter is here (I put it as one of my tags for the first time today!)
