Robin 1

robin-1

The birds are beginning to want to be fed: first frosts are shining on the lawn, the decking slippery is with iced rain, and with us going to and fro so maybe the Tardis has been a tad abandoned and the birds have been fed less on a regular basis.  I went out for the first time for weeks with the camera yesterday and just by the house was this robin, perched so near to me, looking at me, not very afraid, like he was telling me to hurry up to the vegetable garden and replenish the bird table, which I did. There is a pattern to how the birds come out to feed once I have croaked “birdy birdy birdy” to them, and the robin is often the first to appear.
